One City Music and Art Festival announces Demarkus Lewis as one of four artists headlining the 2018 festival. Demarkus has earned the title as “The hardest Working Man in House” and is a perennial entry on Traxsource’s Jackin’ House Artist list. Demarkus Lewis is a part of Dallas House Music history. His work includes tech-house bombs and deep cuts on labels such as Nervous Records, Kingstreet Soundz, Slip n Slide, Guesthouse, Lost My Dog, and his own Grin Music/Grin Traxx/Grin & Bass imprints. The man puts in the work that continues to extend his longevity in the music industry.
The work ethic is real. Demarkus relentless work in the music industry includes over 100 singles during a career that spans over two decades. His work is recognized on a global stage which lead to him commanding the decks of infamous venues such as Stompy (San Francisco), Club Rayo (Argentina), Metro Bass (Rotterdam), Silo (Belgium), H20 (Belgium), The Office (Republic of Georgia), Propaganda (Moscow), Neighborhood (London), and Tresor (Berlin); with repeated performances in Chicago’s world-renowned home for House Music, Smartbar.
in 2005 Demarkus had the ambition to create a deep house imprint, Grin Music. The momentum swiftly morphed into a conduit for house and techno through its offshoots Grin Traxx and Grin Tech.
